Services for Jarrial W. Andrews, 86, of Temple will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Scott Meyer officiating.
Burial will be in Greathouse Cemetery.
He died Saturday, Jan. 6, in a Temple living center.
Mr. Andrews was born in Saratoga to Andrew Jackson Andrews and Martha D. Fontno Andrews and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Elizabeth Carter on May 18, 1944, at Camp Butner, N.C. He moved to Temple in 1942 and he was a member of the Western Hills Church of Christ. He played semi-pro baseball in Oklahoma and he coached Temple girls softball. He worked in rice fields and had also worked in oil fields owned by President George H. W. Bush Sr.
Survivors are his wife of Temple.
Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
