ROSEBUD — A Mass of Christian Burial for the Rev. Reinhold Schmitt, 86, former pastor of Church of the Visitation in Westphalia will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Dearborn Heights, Mich.

A memorial mass for the Rev. Reinhold will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Church of the Visitation in Westphalia.

The Rev. Reinhold died Sunday, Oct. 7, in Michigan.

He was born in Walsum, Rheinland, Germany.

He was pastor of Church of the Visitation in Westphalia, Diocese of Austin, Nov. 1991-June 2006. He was ordained into the priesthood on his 31st birthday in Wuerzburg, Germany.

Survivors include one brother, Leo Schmitt of Germany; and three sisters, Irmgard Toerkel, Johanna Petroll and Elizabeth Pahs, all of Germany.
