KILLEEN — Services for Rodger Vance Connell, 73, of Harker Heights will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lifeway Fellowship Church in Killeen with the Rev. Jimmy Tower officiating.

Mr. Connell died Sunday, Oct. 14, at a Killeen hospital.

He was born in Cougar, Okla., to Albert Austin and Etna Belle Lawrence Connell. He worked in the portable building business for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was a member of the 1st Armored Division Band. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Griggs Connell and a son, Rodger Vance Connell Jr.

Survivors include one son, Christopher Connell of Copperas Cove; and four brothers, Stanley Connell, Phillip Connell and Ace Connell, all of Killeen, and Perry Connell of Midland.
