Rogene Ann Hantke

KILLEEN — A memorial service for Rogene Ann Hantke, 86, of Harker Heights will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Killeen.

Private interment will be held at a later date in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mrs. Hantke died Wednesday, Oct. 17, at a Temple hospital.

She was the daughter of George and Edith Schissler. She had lived in the Harker Heights-Killeen area more than 50 years. She was a homemaker. She was reared and educated in Oshkosh and Milwaukee, Wis. She was a member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Killeen, Daughters of the King, Retired Officers Wives Club, Wednesday Review Club and the Republican Women of Texas.

Survivors include her husband, Russell C. Hantke; two sons, James Hantke and Jonathan Hantke; one daughter, Judith Van Riper; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
