Parents of football players in Rogers have told The Telegram their sons have quit after a dispute with the the head football coach.
One parent, Ben Martin, confirmed that his son was one of the players that has quit.
He said the coach, John Stillwell, has told those who left the team that they must sign a
contract before they can return, and the contract gives Stillwell the power to kick them off any athletic team for any infraction they commit during their high-school careers.
Superintendent Katie Ryan said she has an open door policy and has met with parents and a student over the issue this week.
The Eagles are scheduled to play Rosebud-Lott at 7:30 p.m. today at Rogers.
