Ella M. Wilkerson

Services for Ella Marie Cooper Wilkerson, 56, of Temple will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Temple Bible Church with Bishop Nate Holcomb officiating.

A private burial will be in Temple Garden of Memories.

Mrs. Wilkerson died Friday, Oct. 26, in Temple.

She was born in Giddings to Melvin T. Cooper and Opalene Roberson Cooper. She was a businesswoman. She owned and operated Dynasty Beauty Concepts and was CEO 13 years of Wilkerson Health Care Management. She was also instrumental in establishing Larry Wilkerson State Farm Insurance agency in Temple. She served on various boards and committees throughout Central Texas. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1969, where she lettered on the 1969 state finalist basketball team. She received an associate’s degree from Temple Junior College in 1971. She married Larry Joe Wilkerson on Aug. 14, 1971, in Temple. She joined Free Church of God in Christ in Jesus Name in Temple in 1971. She joined Christian House of Prayer in 1989.

Survivors include her husband of Temple; two sons, Larry Wilkerson Jr. of Temple and Byron Wilkerson of Harker Heights; two daughters, Tammy Wilkerson of Houston and Amanda Moore of Austin; four brothers, Melvin Cooper Jr. of Lincoln, Earl Cooper of Round Rock and Karl Cooper and Joseph Fields, both of Arlington; one sister, Darlene Cooper of Temple; her mother of Temple; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7:30 p.m. today at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.

Hornsby-Murcherson Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.

A wake will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
