Burial will precede the service at 10 a.m. in Restland Cemetery in Gatesville.
She died Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Mrs. Stone was born in Lott to Tom and Rinda Walker Peters. She worked for the extension agency as a food administrator before working a number of years as a schoolteacher in the Gatesville school district. She married Clois David Stone on Sept. 19, 1942, in Belton. He preceded her in death. She graduated from Lott High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Mary Hardin-Baylor College. She was a member of the Coryell Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, United Methodist Women, Western Circle and the Morris Federation.
Survivors include one son, Paul Stone of St. Paul, Minn.; one sister, Eva Owens of Houston; and one stepsister, Hazel Pottenger of Lott.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville.
