Frances Collier

Services for Frances Collier, 95, of Lott will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Lott with the Rev. Doug Weaver and Chester Springfield officiating.

Burial will be in Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott.

Mrs. Collier died Thursday, Nov. 1, at a Marlin hospital.

She was born in Franklin to Fletcher and Alice McDonald Springfield. She and her husband owned and operated Collier Grocery Store in Lott. She also sold Avon products for many years. She married Fred Collier on Oct. 6, 1928. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Collier and a grandchild. She attended Live Oak and Marlin schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lott and a 55-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had lived most of her life in Lott.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Collier of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Shirley Melton of Lott; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
