KILLEEN — Services for Jessie L. Boone, 66, of Little River will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Killeen Memorial Park with the Rev. Bob McClinton officiating.

Mr. Boone died Thursday, Nov. 1, at a Temple hospital.

He was born in Carroll County, Ga., to Herbert and Arrie Boone. He worked in the maintenance department at the Belton school district. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. His military awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Rifle Badge and Sharpshooter Pistol Badge. He married Lajuana Hamilton in 1971 in Cameron. He moved to Little River in 1990.

Survivors include his wife of Little River; two brothers, Malcom Boone of Winters and Harvey Boone of Ashland City, Tenn.; and two sisters, Betty Mosher of Copperas Cove and Ella Metzger of Mason.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.
