Services for John Henry Sams Jr., 85, of Temple will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel I.M. Church with Dr. Steve Jackson officiating.

Mr. Sams died Saturday, Nov. 3, in a Temple nursing home.

He was born in Fort Smith, Okla., to John Henry Sr. and Matilda Sams. He was a member of Bethel I.M. Church.

Survivors include one son, Reginald A. Sams of Temple; three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday with a wake 7-8 p.m. at Branford Dawson Funeral Home.
