BELTON — Graveside services for Matias Chapa, 88, of Belton will be at 10 a.m. in North Belton Cemetery with the Rev. Jay Thomas officiating.

Mr. Chapa died Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Round Rock.

He was born in Camargo Tamaulipas, Mexico to Thomas Chapa and Cruz Islas Rio Chapa. He married Juanita Martinez in 1934 in Robstown. He worked for American Smelting until his retirement. His wife preceded him in death on Jan 29, 1992.

Survivors include one daughter, Raquel Aguilar of Belton; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.
