Services for Vance Cabiness, 84, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Willie E. Robertson officiating.

Mr. Cabiness died at a Temple hospital.

Burial will be in Temple Garden of Memories in Temple.

He was born in Huntsville to William Cabiness and Maurice McLemore Knight. He was married to Mary Parker Cabiness. She preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a truck driver and as a mechanic. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Vance Cabiness Jr. and Anthony Cabiness.

Survivors are three sons, Herman Cabiness of Harker Heights, Ronnie Cabiness and Aaron Cabiness both of Temple; seven daughters, Nora Scott, Barbara Rosemond, Aurelia Davis, Evelyn Booker, Dottie Cabiness, Freda Hickman, and Betty Cabiness all of Temple; 25 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. today, with a wake from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
