Services for Sarah Juanita Briggs Warnisch, 105, of Kaufman will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sheffield Funeral Home in Temple.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

She died Saturday, Dec. 1, at a Kaufman nursing home.

Mrs. Warnisch was born in Sherman to Charles Briggs and Sarah Briggs. She was employed as a switchboard operator at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She married Herbert “Dutch” Warnisch in Temple on May 15, 1920. She was an avid gardener and her home was featured many times in the Temple Daily Telegram as Temple’s most beautiful. She was a member of Seventh Street United Methodist Church, now known as Oak Park United Methodist Church for 65 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980.

Survivors are one sister, Helen Clarice Flynn of Kaufman.
