LAMPASAS — A memorial visitation for Betty Louise Thorp, 86, of Lampasas will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.

She died Saturday, Dec. 1, at a Lampasas nursing home.

She was born in Kansas City, Kan., to E.G. Harman and Ella Zook Harman. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City and graduated from the University of Kansas. She was a physical education teacher in her early career and later was a homemaker. She married John A. Thorp in 1953 in Kansas City. She was a Methodist.

Survivors are her husband; and one sister, Bernadine Lucas of Austin.
