Services for Ollie “Baby Sister” Dawson, 77, of Temple will be noon Monday at Greater Zion Temple Church of God in Christ in Temple with Dr. C.E. Maze officiating.

Burial will be in Temple Garden of Memories.

Mrs. Dawson died Monday at her home.

She was born in Snook to Thad Monson and Clara Boldin Monson. She attended Emitt J. Scott High School. She became a member of County Line Baptist Church. She married Joe Dawson Jr. on Aug. 15, 1955. She worked for Texas A&M University in College Station for 13 years. She also worked in Houston for Dr. Levins as a nursing assistant for two years. She and her family later moved to Temple. She worked in private homes as a cook for Weddington’s Restaurant. She became a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in 1978 and served on the hospitality committee. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors are a son, Wayne Dawson of Temple; three sisters, Mable Davis of Lyons, Pearlie Mae Clerkley of Fort Worth, Leola Speed of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. today at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple.
