Services for John Thomas Hobbs, 86, of Temple will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert Austin and the Rev. Tom Robbins officiating.

He died Thursday, Feb. 8, in a Temple nursing home.

Mr. Hobbs was born in Fancy Farm, Ky., to Charles Thomas and Ada Marie Gilbert Hobbs and he was a member of the U.S. Army. He married Jessie Mae Cooper on Nov. 26, 1947, in Temple and he worked 29 years for Lone Star Gas Company. He was a member of the Breakfast Club at the First United Methodist Church in Temple.
