Services for Roy Sanders, 84, of Temple and formerly of Waco will be at 10 a.m. on Monday at Eighth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Temple with the Rev. Roscoe Harrison Jr. and the Rev. Bennie Houston officiating.

Burial will be in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

He died Tuesday, Jan. 30, at his home.

He was born in Kenney to Elex and Maggie Cloud Sanders. He attended public school in Kenney. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad, Young Brothers and retired from the city of Waco. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, earning the Army of Occupation medal and World War II Victory medal.

Two sons preceded him in death.

Survivors are a son, Ernest Sanders of Waco; two daughters, Royce Robinson of Temple and Alberta Harris of Houston; a sister, Mildred East of Houston; and several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home of Temple.
