Services for Rodessa Holleman, 82, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Eighth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Temple with the Rev. Roscoe Harrison Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Temple Garden of Memories.
Mrs. Holleman died Friday at her home.
She was born in Waco to Clayton Majors and Rosie Majors. She united with Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Temple at an early age. She later joined Eighth Street Missionary Baptist Church. She served as an usher in the missionary school, adult Sunday school class, prayer meeting and Baptist Training Union. She attended Dunbar High School. She worked for the Texas Sands Hotel before she retired. She married Lonnie Holleman in 1957. She was preceded in death by a son, Elson Lee White Jr. and a stepson, Lonnie Chestnut.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Kenneth Lee White of Lancaster, Ronnie Holleman and Larry Don Holleman, both of Temple; three daughters, Shirley Ann Hopkins, Betty Lou Dudley and Merilyn Holleman Lang, all of Temple; a stepdaughter, Marie Daniels of Temple; 25 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Friday, with a wake 6-7 p.m., at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple.
