A Mass of Christian Burial for Fredda G. “Trudy” Klisiewicz, 91, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Ranjan Cletus officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Klisiewicz died Sunday, Jan. 6, at her home.
She was born in Corsicana to William Frederic and Della Brown Grantham. She was a graduate of Corsicana High School and the Droughn Business College in Dallas. She was a member of the first group of women in the United State Marine Corps in their aviation group, having enlisted in Kansas City, Mo. in 1943. She married Edward R. Klisiewicz on May 20, 1944, in Parris Island, S.C. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar Society at St. Mary Catholic Church and the American Legion Post No. 133 in Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 1, 2007.
Survivors are two sons, Jan Edward Klisiewicz of Hampden, Maine and Steven Alan Klisiewicz of Wilbraham, Mass.; a brother, W.F. Grantham Jr. of Taft, Calif.; a sister, Bobbie L. Tidwell of Ennis; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
