BELTON — John Alvin “Red” Moos, 89, of Belton died Friday, Jan. 11, at a Temple hospital.

No services are planned at this time.

He was born in Southernland Springs to Will Moos and Sarah Grisom Moos. He married Nannie Inez Brooks in 1942 near Texas City. He worked as a mechanic for Vance Motor Company for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife.

Survivors are a son, Tom O’Sheilds of Spring; a brother, Howard Moos; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements.
