GATESVILLE — Memorial services for Leland “Lee” Stanford, 71, of Gatesville will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at Twin Creeks Christian Center with Pastor Monty Van Horn and Pastor James Ross officiating.

Mr. Stanford died Saturday, Jan. 12, at a Temple hospital.

He was born in Randolph County, Ind., to Carl Stanford and Vera Stick Stanford. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on Jan. 29, 1955, and was honorably discharged on Jan. 14, 1958. He was a member of the American Legion and was a member of the local post in Gatesville for 12 years.

Survivors are a son, Monty Van Horn of Gatesville; a daughter, Marty Tetrick of Longview; two brothers, Carl Stanford and Gary Stanford, both of Indiana; a sister, Jean Mullins of Indiana; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Van Horn Ministries, 119 Elm Lane, Gatesville 76528.

Viewing will be available through Tuesday at Gatesville Funeral Home.
