ROCKDALE — Graveside services for Raymond C. Birch, 82, of Milano will be 11 a.m. Friday in Milano Cemetery with the Rev. Chad Lagrone officiating.

Mr. Birch died Tuesday, Jan. 15, at a Rockdale hospital.

He was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Manchaca to Jessie and Buela May Figer Birch. He lived in Milano for 16 years and before that he lived in Austin. He married Stella Elizabeth Lagrone in Travis County. He worked as a maintenance engineer for the Scottish Rite Dormitory in Austin. He retired in 1986. He was a member of The Barn Church in Milano. He was also a member of the Milano Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Geri Bishop.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Patrick Bishop of Marlin, Lloyd Bishop of Milano, Eldon Birch of California; a daughter, Janie Murphy of California; two brothers, Bobby Birch of Austin, Charles Birch; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
