Graveside services for Irma Schade Novosad, 79, of Little River will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greathouse Cemetery with the Rev. James Hejl officiating.

Mrs. Novosad died Thursday, Jan. 17, at her home.

She was born in Germany to Valentine Wilhelm Schade and Martha Elise Kniefeld Schade. She was reared and educated in Germany. She met Albert Novosad who was serving in the U.S. Army and they married in Germany in 1955 before moving to the U.S. She had been a resident of Bell County for more than 52 years, living in Temple where she worked for Baugh’s Shoe Factory and Western Auto Distribution then moved to Little River. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004.

Survivors are a son, Arno Novosad of Salado; a daughter, Linda Proctor of Temple; and a grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scott & White Cancer Research, 2401 S. 31st St., Temple 76508.

Friends may sign the register from 8-5 p.m. Monday at Sheffield Funeral Home in Temple.
