COPPERAS COVE — Vertie Mae Todd Ellis, 66, of Copperas Cove died Wednesday, Jan. 16, at a local hospital.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Burial in Copperas Cove City Cemetery will follow the visitation.

Mrs. Ellis was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Barley. Her father was Tanner Todd. She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Ellis.

Survivors are her husband, Robert Ellis Sr. of Copperas Cove; two sons, Robert Ellis Jr. of Copperas Cove and Edward Ellis of Killeen; two daughters, Lora Flemings of Washington, D.C., and Bonnie Ellis of Waco; and two sisters, Lillie Houston of Houston and Bertha Freeman of Temple.
