KILLEEN — A memorial service with full military honors for retired Staff Sgt. Stephen Michael Chaney Sr., 49, of Copperas Cove will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

He died Monday, Jan. 21, at his home.

Mr. Chaney was born Jan. 6, 1959, to Henry Chaney and Lois Hunsicker Chaney in Delaware, Ohio. He was a longtime member of the American Legion in Copperas Cove and the Moose Lodge in Delaware, Ohio, as well as in Killeen. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Michael Chaney Jr.

Survivors are his wife, Cheryl Conrad Chaney of Harker Heights; a daughter, Nicole Febles of Illinois; a son, James Canali of Florida; a brother, Larry Chaney of Alvin; two sisters, Dianne Oman of Delaware, Ohio, and Kimberly Dickson of Kilborne, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
