BELTON — Services for Cecil T. Stewart, 86, of Temple will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with the Rev. Jeff Loudin officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in North Belton Cemetery.
Mr. Stewart died Tuesday, January 29, at a Temple nursing home.
He was born March 16, 1921 to Bradley Fowler Stewart and Mamie Taylor Stewart. He married Sarah Mearl Jenkins on May 21, 1942 in Belton. He retired from Santa Fe Railroad and afterwards worked with a limo service providing transportation for railroad workers. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Taylor’s Valley Baptist Church, VFW, American Legion, Belton REACT and I.O.O.F. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, Kenneth Stewart.
Survivors are two sons, James Stewart of Rockdale, Mike Stewart of McGregor; a sister, Thelma Griffith of Salado; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
