MOODY — Services for Helen Eileen Nelson, 70, of Moody, formerly of Girard, Ohio, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Belton Christian Fellowship Hall on Dog Ridge Road.
Burial will be in Ohio.
Mrs. Nelson died Sunday at her residence.
She was born a twin on Dec. 13, 1937, to Leo and Mary Elizabeth Walsh–Gallagher. She was very active with VFW Post No. 419 and the American Legion in the 1980 and ’90s. She lived in Texas for the past three years. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Edgar Brooks, in 1978 and her third husband, Richard Nelson, in 2004.
Survivors include her first husband, Harvey L. McClimans and wife, Susan, of Girard, Ohio; three sons, David L. McClimans of Youngstown, Ohio, John B. Brooks of Girard, Ohio, and Joseph M. Brooks of Niles, Ohio; three daughters, Tina L. Padula and Debra L. Perez, both of Belton, and Sandra L. Pierce of Moody; 14 grandchildren; and seven great–grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice in Waco and Temple, and the Alpha I Association.
