CAMERON — Services for Elisha David Lopez Ortiz, 27, of Los Cruces, N.M., will be 3 p.m. Friday at Marek–Burns–Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Richard Poole officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hernandez Cemetery.

Mr. Ortiz died Saturday in New Mexico.

He was born Oct. 31, 1980, in Temple to David Ortiz and Kimberly Ann Lopez.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Brice Cruz.

Survivors are a brother, Joshua Cruz of Austin; two sisters, Avea Ortiz and Echo Malcik, both of Austin; his father, David Ortiz of Austin; his mother, Kimberly Ortiz Cruz; his grandparents, Inocencio and Orfa Ortiz of Temple and Mateo and Cecile–Kay Lopez of Cameron; and his great–grandparents, Prajedes Garcia of Mission, Jesus Ortiz of Temple and Naomi Cecile Harris of Grand Rapids, Mich.

A prayer service will be 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
