Services for John Peter Rosen, 86, of Morgan’s Point will be 4 p.m Monday at Foundation United Methodist Church at Lakewood with pastor Ryan Kiblinger officiating.

Mr. Rosen died Friday, Feb. 15, at his home.

He was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Chicago to Mathias and Frances Rosen of Hungray. He was raised and educated in Chicago. He served in the Army. He was a retired co-owner and president of Materials Transportation Corporation. He was a member of Scout Masters, president of Chicago North West Camera Club and president of St. Paul Lutheran School in Chicago. He lived in Morgan’s Point Resort community for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracey Rosen in 1969.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Borgny Torgersen Rosen; four sons, Johnathan Rosen of Hollywood, Fla., Bobby Rosen of Temple, Steve Rosen of Port Aransas, and Erik Rosen of Morgan’s Point; two daughters, Sissy ‘Betty’ Brown of Temple and Carla Neal of Morgan’s Point; a sister, Lane Schuster of Chicago; and nine grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Scott & White Hospice or the Foundation UMC, 10751 W. Adams Ave., Temple.
