Virginia Mae McCollum Flaugher, 84, of Salado died Friday, Feb. 15, in a Temple nursing home.
Mrs. Flaugher was born in Loiusville, Ill., to Parla McCollum and Gerturde Franklin McCollum. She graduated from Southern Illinois University. She married James Flaugher on Oct. 20, 1951. They moved to Salado 10 years ago. She taught high school and worked for the Air Force during World War II. She worked in public relations at Evanston Hospital and last worked as the director of public relations for the Chicago Sympathy Orchestra. She was protestant.
Survivors include her husband of Salado; and a brother, Robert McCollum of Cransfill Gap.
Services will be at a later date with Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
