Services for Barbara Munroe Curnutt, 86, of Temple will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. David Alwine officiating.

Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

Mrs. Curnutt died Saturday, Feb. 16, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Waxahachie to James Herrington and Rebecca Adkisson Munroe. She moved to Hillsboro and later moved to Bryan. She graduated from Bryan High School. After moving to Temple, she worked at Camp Hood. She later transferred to McCloskey General Hospital where she worked until the end of the war. She married Russell Meredith Curnutt July 14, 1946, in Dallas. He preceded her in death in 1974. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Temple and was a volunteer at the church gift shop.

Survivors include a son, Randy Curnett of Bedford, a stepdaughter, Judith Lynn Rellstab of St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church, 300 N. Main St., Temple 76508.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
