BELTON — Robert Andrew “Daddy Rabbit” Siira, 79, of Goldthwaite, died Friday, Feb. 22, at a Goldthwaite nursing home.

Private services will be at a later date.

Mr. Siira was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., to Anite and Olga Komulaine Siira. He married Joyce Marie Allen Siira on Jan. 18, 1979, in Richmond, Va. He worked as a crane operator and formally owned B.J.’s Paint and Body in Del Valley. He was a former president of the Copperas Cove CB Club, a member of Copperas Cove Crime Stoppers and the Crane Operators Union.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, John Raymond Siira; and one great-grandson.

Survivors include one son, Paul Douglas Reed of Huntsville; one daughter, Sherry Sullivan of Goldthwaite; two sisters, Gertrude Neopolian of Las Vegas and Billie White of Temple; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
