ROWLETT — Graveside services for Jerry Louis Bartek, 87, of Rowlett were 10:30 a.m. Monday at Calvary Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating.

Mr. Bartek died Thursday, Feb. 28.

He was born April 26, 1920, to John Joseph and Emilie Diskocil Bartek in Bell County. He was a resident of Rowlett for 24 years and a member of St. Plus X Catholic Church in Dallas. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked in sales.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Bartek of Rowlett; two sons, Lewis Vaughn of Lewisville and Kenny Vaughn of Rockwall; a daughter Michele Vaughn Massie of Seagoville; seven siblings, Ella Pavliska of Temple, Martha Schneider and Georgie Stermer, both of Cyclone, Della Green of Zabcikville, Annie Boehme of Mexia, Johnnie Bartek of Oneaville and Julius Bartek of Long Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Rest Haven Funeral Home of Rowlett was in charge of arrangements.
