Services for A. Louise Hart, 81, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Martin Knox officiating.

Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hart died Sunday, March 2, at a local nursing center.

She was born in Murchison to Lester and Grace Mott Haywood. She moved to Houston in 1932, and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in August 1943. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter H. Dawn in 1957. She married Bill Hart on Nov. 30, 1961, in Houston. They moved to Temple from Jersey Village in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Temple.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Hart of Temple; three daughters, JoAnn Dawn Stanley of Columbus, Frances Hart Karonika of Industry, and Annette Hart Kristynik of Irving; two sons, James Dawn of Arlington, and Bobby Dawn of Lapeer, Mich.; a brother, Melvyn Haywood of Round Rock; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
