Services for Helen Kellermann Gillmeister, 89, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Chaplain Buddy Burton and Pastor Joan Copeland officiating.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

Mrs. Gillmeister died Monday, March 3, in a local nursing center.

She was born Aug. 1, 1918, in Gruene to Herman and Olga Kraft Kellermann. She graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1936. She married Herman Gillmeister in New Braunfels on June 24, 1971. Prior to her retirement in 1984, she was employed in the Credit Department of Foley’s in Houston. She had been a resident of Temple for the past 4 years, moving from Houston, where she lived for 54 years. She was a member of Park Place Lutheran Church in Houston.

Survivors include her husband, a son, Marvin Schneider of Round Rock; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
