Services for Mildred Fletcher Davis, 72, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greater Zion Temple Church of God in Christ in Temple with Superintendent Shelton Rhodes and Bishop Iglehart officiating.
Burial will follow in Temple Garden of Memories.
Mrs. Fletcher died Monday, March 10, at a Temple hospital.
She was born July 13, 1935 to Sam and Mary Elnora Fletcher in Bartlett. She attended Pecan Elementary, Holland Grade School, and Dunbar High School. She married Donald Davis on Aug. 8, 1957. She was an active member of Greater Zion Temple Church of God in Christ since the 1950’s and served as Sunshine Band President, President of Pastor’s Aid, Bible Band President, a choir member, usher, YWCC, sewing circle, Home Foreign Mission, and in the kitchen. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include a son, Donald Davis Jr. of Temple; three daughters, Virginia Davis Oliver of Los Angeles, Barbara Davis Henry of Fort Worth and Natalia Davis Vaughn of Temple; two brothers, Robert Fletcher and David Fletcher, both of Temple; four sisters, Edna Johnson of Los Angeles, Myrtle Hewitt of Killeen, Ruby Jackson and Norma Jumper, both of Denver; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m., Monday at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple.
