McGREGOR — Services for Mary Beth Reese, 93, of Temple, formerly of McGregor will be 2 p.m, Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in McGregor with the Rev. Lianne Turner officiating.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Reese died Saturday, March 15.

She was born July 4, 1914, to the late Ernest Cicero and Nettie Catrina Anderson Oliver in McGregor. She began her education at Highland School and was a 1933 graduate of Waco High School. She attended the University of Texas in Austin. She married Aubrey Wesley “Pete” Reese in McGregor. She was employed 34 years as a clerk for the U.S. Postal System, retiring in 1969. A lifelong McGregor resident and active member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Friendship class. She taught the children’s Sunday school class for 10 years, and served on various boards and committees. She was a member and officer of the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her husband of Temple; a son, A. W. Reese Jr. of Celaya, Mexico; a daughter, Betty Ruth West of Kerrville; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 500 South Madison, McGregor, Texas 76657.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.
