ROCKDALE — Graveside services for A. J. “Mac” McCutcheon, 90, of Austin will be 1 p.m., Tuesday in Lexington Cemetery in Lexington with the Rev. Reuel Cooper officiating.
Mr. McCutcheon died Thursday at a Georgetown hospital.
He was born Jan. 3, 1918 to James L. McCutcheon and Emma Jane Vandenberg McCutcheon in Atoka, Okla. He was an Austin resident since 1938. He was a longtime owner/operator of Mac’s Automotive in Austin. He married Rebecca Marie Kelley on Nov. 1, 1941 in Austin. He worked for the civil service during World War II and was working on the Nordon Bombsight. He was a 32 degree Mason at the Hill City Lodge in Austin. Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years; a son, Andrew J. McCutcheon; and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, James Madison McCutcheon and Kelley McCutcheon, both of Austin; a sister, Irene Yeary of Austin; and six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Public visitation will be 4-8 p.m., today at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin.
