LAMPASAS — Graveside services for Jean Kincaid, 83, of Briggs will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Gillum Cemetery in Oakalla with the Rev. Gerald Harper officiating.

Mrs. Kincaid died Thursday, March 27, at her home.

She was born Oct. 26, 1924, to James Victor Morris and Beatrice French Morris in Burnet County. She attended school in Briggs and later attended Southwest Texas Teacher’s College in San Marcos. She married W.H. Kincaid on Aug. 2, 1942, in Oakalla. They settled in Austin and she worked as a secretary for a gravity meter company for more than 30 years, retiring in 1992. They moved to the ranch at Briggs in 2004.

She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Lampasas.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years of Briggs; a son, Mark Kincaid of Leander; a daughter, Betty Ann Prewitt of Hondo; a sister, Byrla Musik of Lampasas; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
