SALADO — Memorial services for Lloyd B. Welch Jr., 91, of Salado will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Salado with the Rev. Max Copeland and the Rev. Leroy Kemp officiating.

Mr. Welch died Friday, March 28, at a local hospital.

He was born in San Antonio to Katherine Wagley and Lloyd B. Welch Sr. He worked for the TN&N railroad for many years and retired as a yardmaster for the Southern Pacific Railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Burgess Welch of Temple; a son, Michael Welch of Fort Worth; a daughter, Suzanne Schnitz of Salado; a brother, Earl Welch of Rosenburg; and sisters; Katherine Lidwin and Maxine Benson, both of San Antonio; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, Ill 60601-7633.
