TDT’s new magazine debuts

The redesigned and renamed Arts & Entertainment magazine is in Sunday's Temple Daily Telegram.
Dig a little deeper into Sunday’s edition of the Temple Daily Telegram and find our brand new “Arts & Entertainment” magazine. The new magazine replaces “Leisure” and adds a whole new spin on entertainment with more stories, more channels and more color.

The new “Arts & Entertainment” magazine will still include information on local events but will also include information on music, films, games, celebrities and helpful details about TV programs appropriate for children and families.

The television grids are going to look a little different - but change can be good. The times and channels will switch places, but now they are bigger and easier read. Eventually, the grids will also be in color, helping you find the movies and television shows you want even easier.

There will be listings for WE, Speed, TV Land, National Geographic, Life, History, Home & Garden (HGTV), E!, Bravo, Animal Planet and A&E to help our readers who, over the years, have requested information on those channels.

The grids will run 6 a.m.-1:30 a.m. with late night listings on the side of the page. Descriptions of some movies will be right on the new grids while others will be included in a log of movie descriptions and star ratings.

The magazine will also feature a new Family Fun section that will detail several family-oriented shows airing during the week. It also contains the Report Card, a column that grades a television show based on the opinion of those who would watch it - moms, dads, brothers and sisters.

The Cryptoquip game is long gone but in its place will be a brand new crossword, horoscope and hide and seek word game. The new crossword will test your movie, television and overall trivia knowledge.

For sports fans, the magazine offers all the regular show listings with a few extras - a player profile and sports quiz. Now all the armchair quarterbacks and pitchers can test their knowledge while watching their favorite team.

We know this may take some getting used to, but we hope you enjoy the new features and new look of our brand new “Arts & Entertainment.”
