ROCKDALE — No services for Ruth Mitchell, 52, of Rockdale are planned.

Ms. Mitchell died Thursday, March 27, at her home.

She was born Oct. 9, 1955, to Eric and Eva Sturm in Nurnberg, West Germany. She had lived in Rockdale for 26 years. She was employed as management with CEFCO for more than 20 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Ramona Chism of Rockdale and Patricia Payne of Springfield, Ark.; a sister, Doris of Nurnberg, West Germany; her mother of West Germany; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Lt. Col. (Ret) John Snyder

KILLEEN — Memorial services for retired Lt. Col. John Albert “Jack” Snyder, 75, of Killeen will be 10 a.m. Monday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.

Mr. Snyder died Wednesday in a Killeen nursing home.

He was born Dec. 7, 1932, to John and Catherine Reis Muller Snyder in Gordon, Pa. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot for more than 23 years.

He was preceded in death by three sons, John, Peter and Andrew Snyder.

Surviving is his son, Jeff Snyder of Washington.
