Services for Mary Ruth McKnight, 90, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Trey Turner officiating.
Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. McKnight died Thursday, April 3 in a local hospital.
She was born Jan. 17, 1918 to James W. and Tempe Strange Wigginton in Fulton, Miss. She was raised and educated in the Blevins community. She was employed as a manager in food service with Whirlpool in Fort Smith, Ark., for nine years before retiring. She had been a resident of Temple for more than 25 years. She was a member of Canyon Creek Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by a grandson.
Survivors include her husband, Edward L. McKnight of Temple; two sons, Doug Grimes of Midland and Don Grimes of Minden, La.; a stepdaughter, Carole Young of Temple; a brother, Billy F. Wigginton of Arlington; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Canyon Creek Baptist Church – Building Fund.
Family visitation will be 3-5 p.m., today at the funeral home.
