Waltina Boyd Sheppard, 92, of Temple died Tuesday, April 15, at a local nursing home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with her friend Neil Haney delivering the eulogy.

Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sheppard was born Oct. 10, 1915, in Decatur to Hugh French Boyd Sr. and Stella Pearalee Swinney Boyd. She graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1932. She married Allen V. Sheppard on Sept. 12, 1942, in Wichita Falls. She was a member of the Garden Club, the Church of Christ and the Newcomers Club in Temple.

Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2007.

Survivors include a brother, Col. Hugh F. Boyd II of San Antonio; two daughters, Martha Davis of Troy and Melinda Sheppard Yeager of Temple; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
