ROCKDALE — Services for Linoel Lewis, 82, of Lexington will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Lexington with Dr. Forrest Lowry, assisted by the Rev. Rick Spence, the Rev. Reuel Cooper, and the Rev. Austin Lewis, officiating.
Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Mr. Lewis died Sunday at his residence.
He was born March 16, 1926, in Mildred to James Anderson and Eunice (Hill) Lewis. He was a rancher. He worked at Gulf Oil Refining Company in Port Arthur four years before returning to Lexington. He married Mary R. Parker on Nov. 27, 1948, in Lexington. He was a member of Lexington First Baptist Church and song leader for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Lewis of Lexington; a daughter, Cindy Spencer of Lexington; six grandchildren; and a great–grandchild.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Lexington.
