BELLMEAD — Services for Sam K. Henderson Jr., 80, of Troy, formerly of Bellmead, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Bellmead Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Henderson and Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating.
Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park.
Mr. Henderson died Monday, May 12, at his home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1927, to Sam K. and Montie Bounds Henderson in Buckholts. After high school he moved to Waco. He was a supervisor at Lacy Feed for several years, then became a welding instructor at TSTC, retiring after 10 years. He later owned and operated Sam’s Service Center in Bellmead for 15 years. He married Linda F. Royal on Dec. 18, 1999, in Troy.
Survivors include his wife of Troy; a son, Kenneth Henderson of Chandler; a daughter, Deborah McNeeley of Fort Worth; three stepsons, Kerry Wathen of Kansas, Ronald Royal III of North Carolina and Ronald Arender of Krum; three stepdaughters, Peggy Black of Temple, Kimberly Burtchell of Troy and Tana Royal of Garland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
