CAMERON — Services for Guillermo Llanas, 68, of Cameron will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Monica Catholic Church with the Rev. Chris Coleman officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Monica Cemetery.

Mr. Llanas died Wednesday, May 14, in a Temple hospital.

He was born June 25, 1939, to Pascual and Estefana Santellana Llanas in Mexico. He married Basilia Torres. He was a farmer and a rancher. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of Cameron; six sons, Jose Llanas of Thorndale, Juan Llanas, Crisoforo Llanas, Pasual Llanas, Frank Llanas and Jose Llanas, all of Cameron; six daughters, Maximaina Reyes of Thorndale, Sofia Dominguez and Macaria Dominguez, both of Temple, Modesta Llanas, Olivia Bolivar and Naomi Wilcox, all of Cameron; six brothers, Eujenio Llanas of Mexico, Maximino Llanas of New Braunfels, Evodio Llanas of Thrall, Gregorio Llanas of Cameron, Juaquin Llanas of Dimebox and Pedro Llanas of Minerva; six sisters, Rosa Llanas, Jesus Banda, Leonarda Perez, all of Mexico, Silvestra Llanas of Cameron, Cruz Llanas of Thrall and Elisea Reyes of Thorndale; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron.

SGT Melvin Earl Watson (Ret)

KILLEEN — Services for SGT Melvin Earl Watson (Ret), 61, of Killeen will be 11 a.m. Monday in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Watson died Thursday, May 15, in a Temple hospital.

He was born Sept. 28, 1946, to Rescue and Mable Alice Tagget Watson in Little Rock, Ark. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1978.

Survivors include three sons, Daniel, Jason and Stephen Watson, all of Killeen; and four grandchildren.
