ROCKDALE — Services for Hycinth Leigh Holliday Owen, 84, of Rockdale will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Rockdale with the Rev. Sam Mata officiating.

Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Owen died Thursday, May 29, in Midlothian.

She was born Aug. 2, 1923, to John William and Isadora Riley Holliday in Thrall. She graduated from Rockdale High School in 1941. In 1946, she married Tech Sgt. Lewis Cole Owen at the First Baptist Church in Rockdale. She worked in the War Department in Washington, D.C. While living in Miami, she worked for Dade County Municipal Government as a purchasing clerk. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963 and a grandson.

Survivors include a son, John Owen; four daughters, Nancy Burd, Debra Owen, Bonnie Steele and Becky Vinson; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

KILLEEN — Services for retired Sgt. 1st Class Ralph C. Harris, 69, of Killeen are pending with Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.

He died Thursday, May 29, at his home.
