Demand drying up grape supply; wine’s popularity problematic for Texas vineyards

Move over, Joe Six-pack. Texans love their wine, and the surge in Lone Stare wineries - more than 150 and growing - has resulted in a grape shortage. Texas winemakers say they can´t find enough of those plump, juicy, purple and golden clusters, ripened in the summer sun, ready for crushing and fermentation.

Wildcats build upon strong 2007 season, spring with competitive Blue-White game

As is the case in most Temple Blue-White spring games, or any formal scrimmage for that matter, most of the cards are kept close to the vest. It was no different Saturday night at Wildcat Stadium, but many of the hands the Wildcats showed had their share of aces.
