KILLEEN —Services for Bob “Studmuffin” Smith, 71, of McGregor will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.

Burial will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Smith died Monday, May 26, in a McGregor nursing home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1936, to Cleo and Ketty Smith in Florence, Colo. He served in the U.S. Army and was an active member of the American Legion in McGregor; VFW; DAV; AMVETS; Forty & Eight; and an honorary member of the American Legion Riders. His wife Nina Smith preceded him in death in 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Thomas of Virginia and James Thomas of Florida; a brother, George Smith of Montana; a sister, Margaret Heil of California; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
